~A Message from the UHRB Treasurer~
On Saturday, February 6th the Executive Board along with Mr. Miranda met to review the financial status of our organization. Due to the uncollected fees and drop in fundraising participation, we are in jeopardy of having to make cuts to the program. These decisions are not made lightly. Many hours are spent reviewing the financial needs of this program. Without each family paying their portion either in direct payment or through fundraising, we are limited in our ability to pay the bills incurred on behalf of your student. For those of you who may still have an outstanding balance we need your payment now. For those families that have paid on time and are participating in fundraising - THANK YOU.
Fundraising is a great way to raise much needed funds for the program as well as putting money into your student's fundraising account. If you are planning on using your student's account to cover fees, clothing or trips, then these funds need to be available when payments are due. We will apply all available funds towards the expense. In the event there are not enough funds available to cover the entire amount due, then you are expected to pay the difference at that time.
For those students interested in attending Prom, we have been advised by the Administration Office to provide the student store with a list of students with outstanding fees. This list will be submitted on Friday, March 5th. Any student with outstanding fees will not be allowed to purchase or have a ticket purchased for them until the past due amount is paid.
Payment Options: Place funds in an envelope on the Director's door in the Band Room
Mail to UHRB, Inc. - P.O. Box 271, Upland CA 91785

District Jazz Concert: Please come out and support our Stage and Jazz Bands. You will enjoy an evening of exceptional music and fun.
Western States Jazz Festival: March 5th and 6th is our 37th Annual Jazz Festival. Our Guest Artist Trumpeter is Mr. Andrew Tofanelli who has come all the way from Italy. We look forward to an exciting performance by Mr. Tofanelli along with the other entire junior high and high school bands participating this year. The cost of admission is a $2.00 donation to our Instrumental Music Program.
We need the assistance of parents and students to volunteer their time to help out with concessions, parking and all other areas. If you are interested and are able to give a few hours of your time, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Mrs. Amy Gibson through our website at www.uhrb.org. Click on contacts and select Mrs. Gibson's name.
