WBA - FRESNO TRIP
:

In order to receive the latest updated information regarding the upcoming Fresno trip, it is very imperative that one parent from every student attend the Parent Booster meeting on Thursday, November 12, 2009.  An itinerary of the four day trip will be provided.   Please bring all of your questions and concerns.  

 

Entertainment Books/Discount Cards Updates

 

Congratulations to our Entertainment Book Contest Winners!

1st place: Sara James       74 Books

2nd Place: Danielle Locke  35 Books

3rd Place: Ryan Mead       27 Books

 

To date we have sold 620 Discount Cards and 451 Entertainment Books.

 

Entertainment Books and Community Discount Cards will continue to be available on Tuesdays at scrip until November 10th, they will also be available at the parent meeting on November 12th.

 

E-Waste

 

Thank you to everyone who brought in their electronics to be recycled! We earned $1473.58 from this event!

 

Upcoming Fundraisers

 

Tai Pan Trading Company

 

Just in time for Holiday shopping, here is another new opportunity to raise money for our general fund! NO SELLING required! We will be giving away discount cards worth $5 off of a $25 purchase! For every card that is filled out (one card per household) and used at Tai Pan Trading Company in Rancho Cucamonga , the band will receive $5.00! If EVERY student gives out 5 cards that are used at the store, we would earn over $5000! There is also a line on the card to write the students name. The top 3 students who have the most cards used at the store will win a prize! We will have a kick off event at the store from 6pm to 8pm on November 24th, the cards will expire 30 days after our event date. Cards will be available at the November 12th parent meeting and distributed to the students as soon as possible.

 

Student Account Fundraising Opportunities

You asked, here they are! Ways to help pay for the Fresno trip and upcoming 2nd semester fees! Participate in as few or as many student account opportunities as you want or need to!

 

Dessert Fundraiser

 

Once again we will be selling cheesecakes, cookie dough, éclairs, and other yummy restaurant quality desserts! Order forms are going home with the students on October 27th and are due no later than November 10th by the end of practice! Products will need to be picked up on November 18th at the end of practice. This fundraiser is 100% profit to your student account! You earn $4.80 for each $13 item sold, and $5.60 for each $15 item sold.  

 

See’s Candy

 

Now is the time to stock up for holiday gift giving! See’s candy flyers will be available at the November 12th parent meeting and will be distributed to the students after practice on November 17th! Orders are due no later than December 3rd. Products will need to be picked up after school on December 16th. This fundraiser is 100% profit to your student account. Profit varies per item.

 

Candles

 

A new opportunity this season! We will be selling candles from Celebrating Home! This is also a 100% student account fundraiser! Sell the candles for $10, and $5 goes to your student account!

Here is some information about the candles: They are 85% soy that is grown here and they are poured here in United States . The fragrance is all the way through the candle. Wicks are cotton - no lead. Keeping the wicks cut to 1/4 inch and burning for a minimum of 2 1/2 hours at a time (completely liquifying across the top), they will get at least 65 hours of burn time out of them!

Flyers will be available at the November 12th parent meeting (as well as some fragrance samples!) and forms will be going home with the students after practice on November 17th. Orders are due no later than December 3rd! Products will need to be picked up after school on December 16th.

 

As always for fundraisers, checks need to be made payable to UHRB, write your student account number on the check, and student name and contact phone number need to be on the order forms!
